Vibrant jewellery to treasure for Easter
Easter is around the corner, and a celebration of new life, restoration and family is in store. It’s a turning point in the year as the weather (aside from freak snowstorms and the regular April showers) improves and you can spend an evening outdoors enjoying the light without wrapping up in a winter coat.
To mark this special time in the season, we have put together our guide to buying vibrant jewellery to match the vivid colours of Spring.
Bright new flowers
The first thing I think of as the weather changes is swapping my winter wear and huddling inside for shorts and bright Hawaiian shirts worn chatting into the night with friends. To go with your lighter, more colourful outfit; pair it with some brilliant jewellery.
Traditional plain silver and gold jewellery will never go out of fashion, but that doesn’t mean you can’t experiment with more daring and colourful accessories.
To capture some of the colour seen above, there is this brilliant trapiche emerald pendant that can be added to a chain or necklace of yours. Its intricate design would definitely be a highlight of any outfit.
If you want to replicate some of the fun of her enamel bracelet, then this ruby and diamond ring is a perfect fusion of silver, gold, and shimmering gemstones.
Dainty Emeralds
Kelly Green is having a renaissance this spring, but it is far from the only shade of green that has caught people’s imagination. Not that Emeralds will ever disappear from the conversation, but dainty emeralds are once again the height of fashion.
Whether it’s in the form of a small emerald pendant or a dainty ring, they can be the star of the show when paired with a simple white top and jeans, or they can work perfectly alongside a more elaborate outfit.
This Flowering Emerald and Diamond Ring is a perfect example. It’s a stunning piece of jewellery, but won’t blind people when they look at it and can be unassuming when you want it to be.
Fifty shades of blue
Spring may be associated with the luscious green grass, the white wool of baby lambs or the bright yellow of fresh chicks; but blue and all of its wondrous shades is the colour the captivates me.
There are some enchanting pieces of blue jewellery that you could treasure this Easter. This Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Halo Ring is among the cream of the crop. With a glorious centre stone and an elegant ring band, it’s a brilliant accessory that would be fit for a Queen, but doesn’t look out of place at the office.
If this rich sapphire blue is not for you, then there are lighter shades of aquamarine that might tickle your fancy.
Treasured by people throughout history, the People’s Princess Diana included, Aquamarine has always made great pieces of jewellery. This Aquamarine and Diamond Pavé Ring is no exception.
Daffodils
There are many signs of spring that people enjoy looking out for, but one of the biggest in the UK is the emergence of Daffodils, and the bright shade of yellow that is associated with them.
You can find some glorious “daffodil yellow” diamond jewellery. This Fancy Yellow Diamond Ring is a great example of that, and would work as a great spring centrepiece of your collection.
