What to wear for Wedding Season

As we move toward June and Spring rolls to an end and we hope for some more reliable sunshine and a blissful Summer; you may begin to receive wedding invitations. Choosing what to wear for a wedding can feel like a gruelling task, but that needn’t be the case. To help you solve your wedding fashion conundrums, we’ve put together a guide to what to wear during “wedding season”.

Before you rush off to the highstreet looking for a new dress; there is always the option of going through your wardrobe and picking out a dress you haven’t worn to a special event in a while, and reviving the pre-pandemic look with some pieces of stunning jewellery.

However if you are looking for some shopping inspiration, here are our suggestions.

Kelly Green Renaissance

We’ve already talked about Kelly Green’s fashionable renaissance, but the Green revival is now spreading to the world of wedding wear. There are plenty of green summer dresses out there that are perfect for your day as a wedding guest.

This simple, floaty green maxi dress for example would make a great choice for a wedding in a warmer climate; but could also be paired with a jacket if the weather was less cooperative.

If a slinky minimalist dress is less your style, this funky green silk dress with intricate ruffles and white floral print might be a better inspiration as you search for a fun dress that won’t overshadow the proceedings but allows you to express yourself.

This more paired back but elegant green silk dress, is a perfect example of a dress that just lets the colour shine and shows off your figure whilst being reasonably demure.

Floral fashion scheme

If Kelly green doesn’t suit your complexion or clashes with the wedding’s colour scheme, there are plenty of other options out there. For example, floral prints are once again on trend, and if you are in search of a dress that is a brilliant option for both a wedding and to wear to any Jubilee events you might be attending, then this stunning floral halter neck dress seems like a good investment.

Adventurous Wedding Attire

You might feel slightly constricted when it comes to choosing a suitable dress to wear for a wedding, or worried about breaking convention. However, nowadays many people have done away with convention and are more than happy for their guests to wear something more adventurous and authentic to them.

For example, this intricate knit dress that is styled to look like snake skin, is a great option for a summer wedding. It’s breathable and will also keep you warm whilst allowing you to show off your luscious legs.
